Conversion Rate

Conversion Rate is the percentage of website visitors who complete a desired action (conversion). It is calculated by dividing the number of conversions by the total number of visitors and multiplying by 100.

Common types of conversions include:

  • Purchases: Completing a sale on an e-commerce site
  • Lead generation: Filling out a contact form
  • Subscriptions: Signing up for a newsletter or service
  • Downloads: Downloading a resource or app

Formula: Conversion Rate = (Conversions / Total Visitors) × 100

A good conversion rate varies by industry, but typically ranges from 2-5% for websites.
